Joanna Barbaro-Sant is a Malta-based artist. With years of creative expression under her belt, Joanna has found her voice through bold portraiture. Her large canvases are a reflection of her energetic outlook on life; the chosen palette is vibrant and her paint is textured and layered on in luscious brushstrokes interwoven with palette sweeps.

Joanna's art is evocative, her gaze is contemplative and her rendering on canvas is passionate in response. Like a storyteller, she seeks to portray what lies beneath first impressions and brings to the fore a visceral kind of beauty.
